"School House Rock, Live!" Opens Friday

The Independence College Music Department will present School House Rock, Live! opens this weekend on the William Inge Theater stage. The Emmy Award winning television hit of the 1970s will come to life again on the stage of the William Inge Theater March 4, 5 and 6.

The fast paced musical is a fun adaptation of the popular educational cartoon that taught everything from grammar, math and to government using quirky characters and song. The show will be presented Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. with a special Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m.

The show is being presented at ICC under the musical direction of Eric Rutherford and Lisa Kramer with a cast of talented ICC students. General seating tickets are: $8 for adults; $4 for children. ICC faculty, staff and students with college IDs will be admitted free of charge. The production is of course suitable for all ages.
